Trish Amor-Davy, LLB
Leading the BEST TEAM (or “Besties” as they are affectionately known in the office) is Trish Amor-Davy. A proud Te Atiawa girl originally from New Plymouth, Trish and her husband Jason have raised their family on the Kapiti Coast and enthusiastically get involved with the local community. Trish was on the Board of Trustees at Kenakena School for many years, was a pioneer member of school’s Whanau Support Group & Chairperson of the group for a number of years. Her passion for people lead Trish to coach hundreds of kids in different sports teams. Trish has also informally mentored young law students in the early years of their studies. Trish is always looking for fun and approaches life with positive enthusiasm.
Never one to shy away from an exciting adventure, when the opportunity to set up Best Practice Law Limited arose back in 2013, Trish embraced the challenge. Prior to establishing the firm Trish spent a numerous years practising in three very different local law firms on the Coast, in general practice. As a result of this exposure, Trish has varied experience in many areas of law but particularly enjoys working in the areas of family law, property law and all areas of elder law.
In her free time she loves to hang out with her most favourite people in the world (her family and friends), buy far too many shoes than she could possibly wear (then donate unworn shoes to charity!), walk her dog Kobe on the beach and practice new interpretive dance moves.
Vicki took up the role of Practice Manager in 2017 when the Firm opened a second office in Foxton. Vicki brings more than 30 years experience in Office Management, Human Resources & Payroll. Vicki brings a practical approach to the role and is able to call upon insights gained from having owned her own business in the past. In her spare time she enjoys long walks on the beach, roller skating derbys and sampling fine wines.
Lucy joined the Best Practice team after relocating to Kapiti from Whangarei, where she raised her family, ran her own busy Law Practice and carved out a very successful career in the Family & Criminal Courts. After spending the bulk of her career up North, she decided it was time for a change of pace and scenery so moved South to be closer to family.
Lucy is an experienced Litigator who will focus on assisting our clients with Relationship Property, Paternity and all other Family Court disputes. Her knowledge enables her to apply a pragmatic approach to the law and her straight shooting attitude means she gets results!
Lucy has a very particular set of skills, skills she has a acquired over a very long career that make her a perfect fit in our team.
In her spare time Lucy enjoys bike riding, watching cricket & rugby, playing classical piano and shopping (the latter being a trait she shares with Trish!), she also has future aspirations to learn kung fu and interpretive dance.
